I was on the second team brought on to make a quick print ad for the Nike Lacrosse Air Talon shoe. The first team leaned into the history of the sport being American Indian and that ad was killed for some reason. Nike wanted something tough, but I thought something friendly would stand out better. Maybe that’s why this is the only ad I every made for Nike? The cute illustrated one was killed despite everyone fighting for it, so we pivoted and landed on the “kill a field mouse” concept.
