Portlandia Visitor’s Guide
As an actual Portlander I avoided the show Portlandia since it was making fun of me and my friends. I had no idea how funny and smart it was until I got to work with Fred Armisen. As he creative directed me on what to draw for this 194 page book I got to witness the brilliance of his improvisational funny ideas come to life. I was one of a couple illustrators who worked on this book, but I did more hand lettering, illos, and icons then you’ll want to look at. Here are some sample pages.
